I thought (hoped?) this podcast was going to be more interesting than it was. There was much rambling about stuff that seemingly had nothing to do with the episode and much praise of the cast, which was nice but not particularly enlightening.

One thing before I cut away, they were discussing how they did multiple edits on this episode because they were uncertain if Sci-Fi would give them the extra time they requested. In fairness to the network, from their explanation, it does seem to be a major scheduling headache when an ep runs long. As they were discussing scenes that were cut and then added back in after Sci-Fi gave the OK, David Eik mentions that an hour cut still exists for the international market. I’m not sure if “international” means every country outside the U.S. or not. Just a heads up to my friends in Canada when it finally airs there.

I figured I should get around to listening to the podcast for ‘Epiphanies’ before the next episode airs Friday. I managed to listen to it before leaving for work this morning – moving the laptop from room to room as I got ready. (Feel free to laugh.) And I’m so dedicated to listening so you don’t have to, I was late for work. Actually, I’m usually late for work because I’m not so much dedicated to that. ;)

If you haven’t already done so, you must read janeespenson blog. It’s scary how much she sounds like us. Yesterday she posted about the UPN/WB merger and the freak outs that must be taking place all over Hollywood. But this bit in particular is why I adore her..."I’m going to have dinner tonight at a very industry-heavy hotspot. I’ll report back and let you know if there are any Ear-nfernos nearby. I’ll be very interested to overhear the other tables." She’s going to give us gossip!

And here are two PSA’s regarding potential spoilage. Do not read the ‘Entertainment Weekly’ blurb regarding this week’s Smallville episode. I think they make it pretty clear what the big moment will be. And new promo photos were released for BSG last night/this morning. This means new icons. So, if you are one of my very spoiler phobic friends, I’d suggest sticking to your own Flist for the next few weeks.

Yes, I’m really late in this write up (blame it on rewatching the mini series and new network TV), but here’s what I managed to cull of interest from the most recent podcast. It doesn’t really constitute spoilage imo, but I’m going to mention some of the things that were cut for time that will appear on the Season 2 DVD set.

I know many people have already listened to it and there are some for varying reasons that don't like to listen to commentary, but I find commentaries to be interesting and sometimes revealing. It's funny, listening to Ron Moore I alternately found myself patting myself on the back because I was right or thinking how wrong he is because I didn't see it that way at all. ;) The really interesting bit is that about five minutes into the commentary he announces that he'll be talking about upcoming eps so if you don't like spoilers, you better stop listening. OK, if the writer of the show is fine with dishing the dirt, I'm not feeling bad about knowing what I know. What I'm about to post won't contain anything beyond what aired Friday though. And for those that could care less about this stuff, I need to share one interesting bit of information in regards to the medic. Something about her seemed familiar as I was watching. Turns out, she's Jamie's wife. :)
