Aparently this was posted along with the podcast for 'Drity Hands' and I missed it. Or perhaps it was wishful thinking. ;)

I should have known that after two good podcasts the streak wouldn’t continue. If anyone listened to the podcast for ‘Black Market’ or read any write ups about it you may recall how Ron went on and on and on about how bad the episode turned out to be. Well, he’s back to the self flagellation. I will give Ron points for his honesty because, frankly, how many creators of shows will admit when something failed to work and take responsibility for it? However, listening to 44 minutes of what didn’t work, why, and how it was a struggle from beginning to end does get rather old. I actually debated scanning past parts, but since it was the rare occasion when he talked significantly about Lee I ended up afraid to miss anything.

Another surprisingly enlightening podcast. I actually felt a bit better about the episode after listing to it. And I injected a few more personal observations here than I normally do.

This podcast was remarkably interesting and, at two and a half hours, took me awhile to get through. Mostly because I tried to transcribe as much of the edited dialogue as possible. For anyone who read the sides for this ep, most, if not all of the dialogue, was filmed. And while on paper the dialogue seemed to make Carolanne less of a shrew, whether it was the actress or the direction or both, hearing that dialogue spoken she could have come off worse than she did on screen. Not to mention the ep would have dragged. Talk about wordy. I’m actually glad we had the B storyline with Tyrol and Cally now. There was practically no adjustments made to their scenes. It was the Adama/Carolanne stuff that was significantly restructured with scenes moved around, scenes edited way back, and Carolanne’s words being superimposed over footage of just Adama.

Also, pennyfeline transcribed some of the dialogue and I think she did a better job then me in a few spots. Her post can be found HERE.

Just an FYI, the BSG podcast with Jamie, James, Tahmoh, Ron, Terry, Henry (a friend of Jamie's from school), and Mark Sheppard (a guest star) is up. It can be found here. I'm listening right now and they are discussing season 1 and '33'....OMG they were almost on UPN??? Um, anyway, it's kind of interesting, but beware of four people talking over each other at any given time. It's also three hours long so I'm highly doubting I'll get through it all tonight. No earth shattering revelations or insights thus far, but if I hear anything interesting I'll let you know.

On average I probably have an alcoholic beverage once a month. I’m thinking I have to up that to once a week and during podcasts. Ron managed to achieve new levels of cluelessness. But, brace yourselves people, he admits that Fat Lee was not their finest hour and that they’ve struggled with the character. I had to listen to that section three times to make sure I was hearing him correctly.

In addition to Ron we have Grace, Tahmoh, and Terry Moore commenting. Assume I’m paraphrasing Ron unless I note otherwise (my comments are in parentheses ;). And with people talking over each other thoughts got interrupted or didn’t come across as clearly, so sorry if this is a bit jumbled.

OK, my weekend was already going to be consumed by 'Unfinished Business', but I just discovered that the podcast for 'Hero' and three for writers meetings are up. I'd wish for being snowed in tomorrow (we may get a foot of snow), but I fear losing power.

Here's the latest that I got from This Link.

Mary, James, Grace and Tricia are, at the moment, scheduled to got to the Moore's for dinner and podcasting this evening. Jamie was also to be there, but canceled due to family obligations. Considering no one left the Moore's until after 2am yesterday/today and they had to go to work this morning I sense the Mrs may have had something to say about Jamie going out again tonight. ;) I'm excited to hear what the rest have to say, but it's going to be odd having a Lee and Kara-centric ep with both unavailable to comment.

And apparently the other podcast they did ran four hours and at times it was difficult to hear what anyone was saying because of the placement of the microphone and people talking over each other. I'm wondering if Sci-Fi may do some editing, I can't imagine them putting up a four hour podcast with spots of essentially dead air. Though they apparently intend to put up a disclaimer about the sound issues. It may be up as soon as tomorrow or maybe Sci-Fi will decide it's crap. Who knows with the monkeys there?

Also, the reason they haven't had the actors particpate before is because the podcasts are usually recorded in LA. It still doesn't explain why they can't do commentaries for the DVD releases though.

ETA: Looks like just Grace and Tahmoh (man that guy just loves to show up and surprise people! ;-) did the podcast.

I was just perusing the Sci-Fi board and came across a thread started by Terry Moore. Late last night she asked for fan questions for a potential Q&A podcast with the actors. She and Ron were going out to dinner with some of the cast and had the thought of asking them to their house afterwards for an impromptu Q&A session. It seems that not only did the Q&A take place, but some of the actors will be utilized in the podcast for the next ep! Here are Terry’s comments:

2am, they just left. i think this is going to be a really, really awesome podcast. They got such a flow and rhythm going, that the best way for me to facilitate your questions, was to scroll through all of the questions as they talked, and find the questions that would lead their discussion forward. So some of the more fun questions didn't get on because their discussion got very deep and serious.
Anyway, thanks everyone.
They are going to reconvene here tomorrow night to do a podcast with the next episode.

A reason to look forward to the podcast! I’m now curious to know what actors will be commenting. It would great if it were Jamie and Katee, but Jamie has family obligations and I’m not sure Katee is in Vancouver right now.

ETA: indigo419 was brave enough to scroll through the thread - Jamie, James, and Tahmoh are confirmed to have participated. And apparently Katee was not in Vancouver as suspected.

Sorry for the delay, I had heard that the podcast for ‘Torn’ was painful to listen to so I procrastinated. No, Ron wasn’t being more annoying than usual ;), but the format was different. Ron took the podcast on the road and recorded it on a visit to Cornell University in a class full of students who had just watched the ep with him and were allowed to ask questions. This was both good and bad. The students who were obviously fans of the show asked some questions that I would have asked myself and also made some observations that hadn’t even occurred to Ron. On the downside, you get questions like "Who’s Ellen?" and "Are those all Cylons?"” from people seeing the show for the very first time. I don’t need recaps of the Tigh/Ellen relationship or the Cylon history thus far.

As usual, no spoilers. Honestly I think he may have only said one tiny thing that may or may not be construed as a spoiler. And I did opt to recap a couple statements that vaguely discuss future developments because they directly tie to situations in ‘Torn’ that left some of us confused and I think people will be relieved to know that the plot points will be addressed.

The high point/low point? Ron all but admits he doesn’t know what the hell to do with Lee. :/
