I probably could analyze 'No More Mr. Nice Guy', but I'm really not in the mood. So I shall just address some of the more superficial elements. )

I don't have much to say about House. It was OK. My favorite scenes were between House and Wilson. I usually side with Wilson in their disagreements/debates/arguments, but I was surprised to find myself completely siding with House this time.

Wow. Spike TV isn't much with the censoring. Apparently, only the F word is a no-no. And it has one of the scariest audiences I've ever seen. Still, I have to say, unlike so many awards shows, the presenters and award winners seem to be having fun.

I never contemplated giving up on House. Hugh Laurie is on that short list of actors that I'd sit through dreck for and while Season 3 hardly qualified as that, it was a very uneven season. Some weeks I found myself bored, others irritated. And I know we are only three episodes into the Season 4, but, man, I am loving this season so far. I was totally engrossed in tonight's episode and my renewed enthusiasm is making the BSG Hiatus from Hell a wee bit easier to take.

Thoughts on '97 Seconds'  )

Happy Birthday! to [info]thomasina75 who I continue to learn I have much in common with besides the Jamie adoration. ;) And Happy (a tiny bit early) Birthday! to the new mommy, [info]avrelia. I know you'll have a wonderful day. ;)

I've been checking overnight ratings at Mediaweek and one showdown in particular is interesting me. Though Life finished third in it's time slot last night, it's up 73% over the show in it's time slot last season, Kidnapped. Dirty Sexy Money finished second in the time slot behind CSI:NY which seems good until you read that it was down 26% percent from the debut of...The Nine. ::head desk:: OK, I'm not getting attached to anything for several more weeks.

In House news, if any of you wish to know who wins Survivor:Princeton-Plainsboro Zap2It can tell you. My two cents on the news. )

And now for what really has me really excited. The new 'Sweeney Todd' trailer! No surprise, it looks awesome. This may be the best Burton/Depp collaboration yet. Sadly, no surprise again, the studio is playing down the fact that it's a musical.

Hmmmm, let's see if I remember everything I wanted to mention.

House: The Right Stuff )

Dancing with the Stars - Unless one of them breaks a leg, I'm not sure how Julianne and Helio can lose. I loved Apolo and he wasn't nearly as good as Helio in week 2.

Thanks to On Demand and Showtime making it available for nonpaying customers, I'm finally catching up on Dexter. I'm watching Ep 10 as I type this. I'm enjoying it, but I'm not feeling compelled to dissect it...er, no pun intended. A couple episodes back I predicted how the first season would end and what would happen to certain characters and having read a review of the second season premiere it would seem I was right in my assumptions.

I picked up the new Matchbox Twenty album today, but haven't listened to it yet since I've listened twice online recently. Best Buy is carrying a version with two live bonus tracks and I'm all for the bonuses.

OK, Flist, you are failing me! I've seen no links to con reports and I know I have Katee and Tahmoh fans here! I did manage to track down one and it seems as if they didn't talk much about BSG. Perhaps that accounts for the relative LJ silence. Here's the link to the report I found. One thing jumped out at me. Julie Caitlin Brown was there and she represents Katee *and* Tahmoh. I'm now terrified that she's going after all the BSG actors and Jamie will sign with her. Though, he seems pretty laid back about the con thing and I'm assuming leaves them up to his manager to organize. Someone with a better knowledge of these things can enlighten me, but what is the point of a con manager? It just seems like yet another person you are paying out money to and none of these guys are making BIG TV money.

I’m finally getting around to recapping Tuesday nights TV viewing. Last night I had the worst headache I’ve ever had. And have you had a nagging cough with a bad headache? Fun! Then my plans to post at lunch were thwarted by the forgotten department meeting. As you know, I’m not thrilled with my job, even less so today. Nothing like finding out your job responsibilities are being altered right before the meeting. :p

And I was just busy (and aggravated) enough that I didn’t get to listen to Matchbox Twenty’s Exile on Mainstream. VH1 is streaming it this week.

Now, on to the TV!

Bones - Enjoyed it muchly, but don’t have a lot to say. Glad Angela was way off in her assumption. (She kind of annoys me sometimes.)

House: Alone )

OK, I’m already flailing about being behind in the new fall season. I totally forgot about Reaper last night. Probably because it’s the only show on The CW I’d potentially watch. Tonight there is Private Practice and Dirty Sexy Money on ABC up against Bionic Woman and Life on NBC. I can skip Life this week since I’ve already seen the pilot, but do I watch Katee or Tim at nine? I’ll probably lean towards Bionic Woman just to see how much I agree with the critics and public who have seen it already. Then there is part 1 on the finale of Top Chef at 10. Fortunately, it gets repeated at 11 and I generally don’t go to bed before 12.

I just finished watching Back to You and I laughed! Several times! Out loud! Definitely improved from what I thought was a so-so pilot and they even made a certain ongoing subplot less annoying then it could be.

Belated Happy Birthday! to [info]pellucid who I had the pleasure of getting to know at DC. And Happy Birthday! to [info]shmarollynn who has been far to silent on LJ as of late. Plus I could use some new Jamie icons. ;) Hope both of you lovely ladies had great days.
