Asta 2

It's 5:30am and I'm still up

I blame my friends. Those evil women in chat who keep me up into the early morning. Then cheer me up so damn much I can't get to sleep. Ah well, at least I got my grocery shopping done. I highly recommend going at 3:15 in the morning. No one around to get in your way, no screaming kids, and all the sale items have been stocked.

As for why I needed cheering up. Let's just say it's been a tiresome week in many respects. Lots of turmoil. Throw in PMS and I'm bound to be in a pissy mood.

But at about 10:00pm, things took an upswing. Saw wisteria_'s post on James upcoming film role. Became so giddy I had to discuss with someone. Luckily jonesiexxx and lynnb were on IM. Wrangled them into chat so we could discuss properly. Then I was delighted when some individulas I hadn't spoken to in ages, stopped by at Jonesie's request.

Anyway, pretty soon, various friends popped in and out of chat. Finally had to leave around 1:30 to tackle the smelly pile of dishes in the kitchen. I really am a good housekeeper, but I should no better then to leave onion remains lying around.

My point in rambling on about this is that after having a crappy day talking to these folks made me realize how lucky I am. Even when talking about silly things like Christine and her cats love of tote bags. Heck, I don't have family that is as supportive and willing to listen as these people are. And while many have only reinforced what I already knew of them, there have been individuals that have surprised this cynic (in regards to the human race) due to their kindness and generosity. I'm lucky to know so many great people.
