Asta 2

Spoilers for Episode 15

The spoilers (major ones) can be found at the Spoiler Slayer.

Spike threatening to go to Europe again? Enough already ME. I know it's meant to irritate Angel, but the constant threats are irritating me now.

HA HA HA HA - I was right! Knox is evil. :)

Wow. Fred dies? Didn't see that coming. Especially with the her being the lone female lead. Granted, AA will still be around. But, will she be playing this new character permanently or will the gang be spending the rest of the season looking to put her soul back in her body? Yep, that's original. :p

When the Hell did Fred and Wes become a couple? I don't recall seeing any spoilers for that. And poor Wes. :( How many girlfriends is the guy going to lose?
I haven't stopped laughing all morning at the concept of Spike and Angel "flying to England" together. I have the funniest vision of the two of them at the airport. Perhaps Angel has a private jet, though. :)

I wonder if the parallel to last Season is very deliberate? I wonder how far the mindwipe has deprived everyone of the lessons their history could have taught them, and how much this is a consequence of that.

Hee...and I have a funny feeling about the Fred story. After all, W&H could change reality to save Connor, and I'm sure they could do the same for Fred. I suspect it's a last-ditch attempt to get a few more Fred/Wes shippers on board. ;)

As long as they don't join the 'Mile High' club together, I'm fine with it.

I think you are right, Angel must have a private jet with specially tinted windows, etc. Bursting into flames on an international flight may be construed as an act of terrorism. :p

I wonder how far the mindwipe has deprived everyone of the lessons their history could have taught them, and how much this is a consequence of that.

I'm wondering about that too. I have to think the consequences of the mindwipe have to come into play at some point. And while I don't disagree with Angel's decision to allow Fred to die, it does seem to parallel Jasmine's decision to sacrifce a few thousand or so for the happiness of billions(?).

Oh, theories, I love to hear heories. :) It would be odd for Angel to make yet another deal with W&H to bring Fred back. Then again, I have a wacky notion that maybe Lindsey will have something to do with resurrecting Fred. Not sure how, but I have a feeling his dealing with Angel and the gang don't end with the 100th episode.

Hee! I share your wacky notion, but I fear I base my reasoning on my total fangirl crush on his character. ;)

Talking of theories, while writing a college essay I'm sitting here totalling up deaths and resurrections on BtVS and AtS. I have a strange old life-for-a-life theory going on here, but who knows where that's leading...;)

Like there is anything wrong with reasoning based on a fangirl crush? ;) For Joss to bring Lindsey back and for Christian to free up his schedule they must have big plans for the character. I can't believe Angel wil be getting rid of him so easily next week. And wouldn't it be a hoot if Angel *had* to go to him for help. :)

I'm sensing it leading to a post...;)

:dies quietly:: at the concept of this.

oh yes. :)

I'm sensing it leading to a post...;)

hee, yes, and if you're all lucky, I might get it finished in time for next Christmas. ;)

I'm going with the AtS-as-Toy-Story theory I've seen bandied about LJ today. I like that one. ;)

::collapses in laughter::

What? Wow! I wish I hadn't read that. Damn damn damn.

Pardon the outburst :-P

Killing the last female lead? Hm. Bringing back yet another dead person? Hm.

BTW, I just finished watching Angel season 1, and I must say I found it a lot better and more "epic" than season 3 & 4. There seems to be more emphasis on character development than weird big bads. It was so much more touching to see Faith break down or to see Angel try to get over Buffy, than it was watching Cordy screw Connor, Angel brood, or Jasmin babble.
What? Wow! I wish I hadn't read that. Damn damn damn.

Hey, I warned you. :p Though, I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't resist temptation. :)

I'm always torn about spoilers. I'm not as invested in Angel as I am in Buffy, so part of me doesn't really care if I'm spoiled or not. Then again, if I don't care, why am I looking?

Yeah, I'm Hmmmming myself. It's a very odd development, even by ME's standards. I'm assuming Fred as we know her will be brought back at some point.

I couldn't agree more (I think my hatred of last season is fairly well know ;). I really enjoy seasons 1&2 for al the reasons you stated. 3&4 became more obsessed with season long arcs and the Big Bad. I like arcs, but I also enjoy stand alone eps, great character moments, and *gasp* humor. I swera, it all went downhill with Conner.

And didn't Angel seem somewhat happy in the earlier seasons? For every step forward he took, it now seems he has taken two steps back - wallowing in brooding and self doubt.
I knew I shouldn't have read this. I knew it but I couldn't stop myself. I didn't read all of it but still Ahhhhhhh, Ahhhhhhh!
I'm Shocked! Shocked!! *You* looked at spoilers?! What will Crystal think? You may have to buy my silence now...or at least discuss what you think. ;)
Think? Think? I'm not sure I can think. I now face the tough choice of reading these spoilers in their entirety or attempting to forget I ever succumbed. Crystal is going to be mad at me.
Let me see if I can whip up a mindwipe for you. ;)

I'm curious as to what you did see and what you didn't, but I shall not encourage you to read further. And I won't say a word to Crystal about what a naughty girl you've been, it will be our secret. Then again, she is a bit spoiled for tonight's ep, so maybe you are even now. :)
Well, if I'm being honest (and its a stretch), I read everything on the link you provided. Yes, I know. I gave in. Curiosity got the better of me. I am bad.

Even though I read all of it, I'm stil not crystal clear on everything since I have absolutely no knowledge of the episodes starting with tonight's thru #14. I'm missing big chunks. As a result, I am a little flabbergasted about this new information. Some of it makes sense and some of it doesn't. For example, I can understand Fred dying from an evil sarcophagus but I have no clue who the Old Ones are or why the gang has anything to do with them. See what I mean? Its all disjointed. Which is okay since I really shouldn't have looked anyway, you temptress you. :p

Oh, of course, it's all my fault. :p

For the record I am spoiled for tonights ep, partially spoiled for next weeks and I only know some vague information for #13 and #14. Hence me being clueless about the Wes/Fred relationship.

As for the Old Ones, I think this is the first time they are ever mentioned. I'm a bit confused about it too. Seems a pretty significant development though. I wonder how old they are? Could they have existed when The First came to be? And could Lindsey's arrival be tied to this all in some way? Much to ponder.
Spike threatening to go to Europe again? Enough already ME. I know it's meant to irritate Angel, but the constant threats are irritating me now.

Hee. I'm so easily amused. Spike nags Angel and I get all silly and fangirlish and I want to pet him and say "Awww, Spike, you're so cute when you're snarky" ;-)

Wow. Fred dies? Didn't see that coming.

Me neither. I was thinking if something drastic would happen, it would be to either Wes or Gunn.

Granted, AA will still be around. But, will she be playing this new character permanently or will the gang be spending the rest of the season looking to put her soul back in her body? Yep, that's original. :p

Hee. I like Anna's fanwank that this is on purpose because of the mindwipe, so I'm sticking to it :)

When the Hell did Fred and Wes become a couple? I don't recall seeing any spoilers for that.

Don't they kiss at the end of episode #14? I guess that makes for the quickest get-together/make out/half-the-couple-turn-evil-and/or-dies plot line the ever did ;-)

After last weeks ep, my money was on Wes. Then again, we don't know how badly he will react to losing Fred. He could go all badass yet, dealing with who knows what kind of dark forces to get her back. Hmm. Sounds a lot like Willow after she lost Tara.

LOL. And we thought the Spuffy relationship was complex! ;)
This is what I get for being unemployed and sleeping late. I miss all the action - hokey smokes!

But, the fact that Angel merely entertains me instead of inhabiting my every waking thought, I'm feeling a detached and amused interest. You were right, Knox is EVIL. I don't think Fred is going to be permanently dead - right now she's just mostly dead :) It does sound like plot retreads, though, from a show that did it better the first time - what was it's name? ;)
Better late than never. ;) It's pretty funny when chracter death on a show is no longer surprising to us. After all, Joss does it so often. :p If he really wanted to shock the Hell out of us he'd have Fred and Wes have a big May sweeps wedding, where nothing goes wrong, and they live happily ever after.

But, I agree, somehow the real Fred will be brought back. Hey, maybe they'll have to kill Conner to do it! A girl can dream can't she? :)
Exactly! Give us a happy ending and Joss will have all the viewers hyperventilating all over the globe.

Fred for Connor? I'm completely onboard with that!! ;)
