I've only managed to get through two epsiodes today - 'All The Way' and 'Once More With Feeling' - and David Fury's 'Making of OMWF' which, may I say, is the best damn extra to ever appear on one of these box sets. Loved it! I wish they'd do more of them. I don't want to give too much away for those that haven't seen it yet, but two highlights were Joss twirling Amber and James in the recording studio. Those arms. Guh.
'All The Way' is a much better episode than I remembered. It was very much a 'classic' Buffy episode. By that I mean it was a stand alone, monster of the week episode on the surface, but it also addressed story elements layed out in previous episodes (Buffy's putting on an overly happy face for everyone, Xander's growing fears regarding his impending marriage) while nicely leading into events in OMWF (Buffy's reliance on Giles, the consequences of Willow's spell on Tara). Oh, yeah, and that great scene between Spike and Buffy in the Magic Box basemant. ;)
On a completely unrelated note, I ran into someone from high school while shopping for groceries today. I didn't even recoginze her, not that she really looked any different. She said she didn't recognize me at first either, but it was something about my hair. Which is very weird because it's shorter and a different color. :p
Anyway, we talked for about ten minutes or so. We weren't friends in school, though she always seemed nice enough. She did recall I was very quiet back then. Seems she had just moved back to town this weekend and was buying supplies to clean up her new house. It was nice chatting with her. Who knows, we may run into each other again.
Before I forget, treacle_a posted the first part of her wonderful new fic Mortal Wounds. It's post 'The Girl In Question' and even though The Immortal makes an appearance, I still highly recommend it. :)
