Speaking of troublemaking ;), my co-workers are going to love me in the upcoming weeks. Yesterday I had a two hour meeting with one of my bosses. He wanted honesty, he got honesty. Without being nasty or petty I tried to tell him how things really are. Not much of it came as a shock to him. He's pretty perceptive.
What he didn't know was that I had a degree in art. See, our office is contemplating a major renovation - essentially gutting four of the five floors (the floor I'm on had a remodel a couple years ago). This will take 18 months to two years to complete. Joy.
We had a firm meeting this week in which the plans were formally presented to everyone. Lots of unhappy people including our executive director apparently. That's good news because changes definitely need to be made. So, upon hearing I have an art degree (and my bitching about the firm aesthetics), Bill wants me to help come up with a plan for what the accounting department should look like. He even would like us to have windows! Imagine that, sunlight during the day.
Yeah, I can just see it going over great with my department upon hearing this news. He is going to ask two others to help come up with ideas. Of course, I picked those two. ;)
OK, I've spent four hours catching up on LJ, e-mail, and trying to come up with images for a prezzie someone is making me. :) Time for a break.
